Ty and Kay Meyer own Red Barn Farms (www.red-barn-farms.com) outside of Colton, Washington. It is an extremely quaint countryside event, festival, and conference center in the heart of The Palouse. The farm has been operated by four generations of the Meyer family dating back to 1901. You can't miss it as you drive south along Highway 195 so when I saw it I just knew I had to do some nightscapes there. A quick phone call to Kay to ask permission was all it took to get me on the property in the wee hours of the morning (I suspect folks in that area don't take too kindly to photographers running around on their land unannounced with headlamps and gear at 1am).
