Creekside
The McDonald Creek seemed more like a river at this location with roaring falls and thrashing rapids. Shooting this scene in northern Montana at this time of year is challenging as the light from the setting Sun behaves very differently than in the southwest. In fact, it never gets completely dark here, there's always at least a faint glow. The best darkness that can be reached right now is astronomical twilight. I was fortunate to catch this quick glimpse of color in the sky since it only showed itself for about a minute and not until around 10pm.
